Sam Kean is a writer from the United States. He has contributed to The New York Times Magazine, Mental Floss, Slate, Psychology Today, and The New Scientist, among other publications. He has also written five books in which he discusses scientific findings in a narrative format. The Wall Street Journal, Library Journal, and The New York Times all gave him favourable reviews for his books. He grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and now resides in Washington, D.C.
