The Daily Stoic

by- Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman

4.21

The Daily Stoic (2016) is a series of daily meditations based on the wisdom of the Roman Empire's Stoic philosophers. Emperor Marcus Aurelius' writings, playwright Seneca's writings, and slave-turned-philosopher Epictetus' writings all offer thoughtful content for the writers to refashion and update. These slates encourage self-reflection while also allowing the reader to appreciate serenity and life itself.

Ryan Holiday is a writer, marketing consultant, marketer, and entrepreneur from the United States. As American Apparel's head of marketing, he courted controversy, but he has since taken to self-education. His work has been published in the Columbia Journalism Review and Psychology Today. Trust Me, I'm Lying and The Obstacle is the Way are two of his previous novels. Stephen Hanselman is a literary agent and publisher. He attended Fresno Pacific University and graduated from Harvard Divinity School with a Master's degree. His first book as an author is The Daily Stoic.
