The historical and traditional context of menstruation is explored by Flow (2009). By doing this, it attempts to dismantle the misconceptions surrounding periods and thows light at the misunderstandings surrounding this natural phenomenon.

Susan Kim is the author of Amy Tan's The Joy Luck Club's stage adaptation. Five nominations for her work on children's programs and a documentary were awarded to her by Emmy Awards.
Elissa Stein is a published writer whose work covers issues such as children hanging out in New York City, a visual overview of pop culture and interactive gratitude notes.
