Death's Summer Coat

by- Brandy Schillace

Death's Summer Coat (2016) is an odd and morbid look at the past of a topic we don't want to think about: death. Learn how death rites and the medical profession influence our relationship with the dead – and why identifying death isn't as simple as one would expect.

Brandy Schillace is a multidisciplinary academic who studies medicine, history, and literature. She works for the Dittrick Museum of Medical History and edits a medical anthropology publication. Her other books include Unnatural Reproductions and Monstrosity, as well as Hauntings: An Anthology.
