A Long Way Gone (2007) is the author's account of how, as a young kid in Sierra Leone, he became entangled in a civil war and recruited as a child soldier. You will accompany him on his perilous journey, eventually guiding him to rescue and healing via the generosity and compassion of caring individuals.

Ishmael Beah is a Sierra Leonean author and human rights campaigner best known for his memoir, A Long Way Gone. Radiance of Tomorrow, his debut novel, was released in January 2014. Little Family, his most recent work, will be published in April 2020.
